Just north of the Galway/Mayo border, this picturesque group of waterfalls on the River Erriff is a great spot for riverside walks, picnics and canyoning.
Cross the Aasleagh Falls Bridge just before the river meets Killary Harbour and take in great views of the waterfalls. You can climb the falls themselves if you're feeling adventurous, or stand back and watch salmon fisherman looking to make a catch.
Tips from locals
A section of the Western Way starts here and runs for 12km passing Devilsmother Mountain and through the Erriff Valley before finishing at Sheeffry.
