The main 5 bedroom cottage is a restored 19th century Bath Estate Game-keepers lodge and can cater for up to 10 guests with 1 en suite double bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin single rooms, 2 bathrooms, modern kitchen, spacious living and dining room, and cosy snug. An attractive patio area overlooks a private lake.
Although fully restored, Muckno Lodge has retained charming features such as the restored stone exterior,1869 Bath Estate Coat of Arms above the door, and a cosy open hearth fireplace with traditional skillet pots hanging from a crane.
There is also a cosy 1 bedroom cottage next door which is a restored barn and can be hired separate to the main lodge or together for larger groups.
The lodges offer a wonderful rural countryside escape by the shores of Lough Muckno, and just 1 hour from both Dublin & Belfast, provide the perfect base to explore the hidden gems of Co. Monaghan, Northern Ireland borderlands and Ireland’s Ancient East.
