Each room at Maranatha Country House is uniquely inspired by Olwen’s daring designs. Centred around large four-poster or king size ornate beds the rooms are decorated like fantasies: one based on the 1935 movie, 'Top Hat' including round bed, another in regal style with deep burgundy velvet drapes and the Regal Suite with an enormous crown above the bed. All bedrooms have to be seen to be believed.

All rooms are en suite with central heating, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi access and TV. The house has a beautiful drawing room with lovely antiques.

At Maranatha Country House, Douglas and Olwen Venn, have created an extraordinary place to stay. They provide bed and breakfast accommodation in the rural setting of Blarney only ten minutes’ drive from central Cork City. The house is surrounded by monkey puzzle trees, several large Sequoia, Monterey Pine trees and in spring, very colourful rhododendrons. You can stroll through the beautiful private woodlands and meadows surrounding this lovely period country house.
