Aughris is a small village located on the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way. Established as a fishing village with a pier built in 1840, it fell into disuse in the twentieth century but has recently become a popular destination for its unspoiled and spectacular cliffs, long sandy beaches and idyllic countryside.
It is a three bedroom house set back a few feet from the Atlantic Ocean with breathtaking views of the sea, beach, countryside and distant mountains from every room. Within one minutes walk from the Beach Bar and Restaurant.
This modernised and restyled cottage sleeps up to six people comfortably with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a very spacious (10X6M) open plan living area. At one end is a well equipped kitchen with all facilities including a dishwasher, microwave oven and a large breakfast bar. The dining area contains a table and six chairs for more formal dining. At the far end is a feature fireplace with three piece suite, TV, music system etc.
Detached from the main house is a building containing a utility room with a washing machine and dryer and a wet room with a full size shower room.
The property is well furnished and stocked throughout with everything needed for a perfect holiday. There is a large field at the rear of the property that can be used for recreational purposes. There is also ample parking for several vehicles.
In addition to the local beaches there are other facilities such as golf, fishing, surfing, pubs and eateries within easy driving distance. Should you wish to go shopping, the towns of Sligo and Ballina are only half an hour away.
