Found just outside Caherdaniel in County Kerry, Wave Crest Caravan and Camping Park commands unparalleled views of beaches, coves and the majestic mountains of the Beara Peninsula. The park is friendly, informal and family run, making it the perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday.
Wave Crest is located on the main Ring of Kerry road and provides outstanding facilities for families, not to mention a strong emphasis on safety and security. There is on-site tourist information, a well-stocked shop and hot and cold deli with a café offering breakfast lunch and dinner (open Easter- October), fully-equipped play area for children and direct access to the water for launching water sports equipment. Other facilities include a Bureau de Change, laundry, TV room, games room, boating (launching and mooring), rib trips from Wave Crest and fishing supplies.
Wave Crest Café is facing the sea- you can sit outside or inside and enjoy a cup of tea of coffee with a freshly baked scone, a delicious pastry or have a full lunch or evening supper while watching the forever changing panoramic views of the Kenmare Bay and the Beara Peninsula. Keep an eye out between each bite; you might see dolphins or a basking shark.
In the vicinity of the park, visitors will find the Blue Flag beach at Derrynane as well as opportunities for swimming, scuba diving, surfing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, fishing and horse riding. Additionally, the area’s major attractions include the UNESCO World Heritage site of Skellig Michael, Derrynane House and Gardens, and the Kerry Way.
