Climate change is leading to more erratic weather patterns and to dryer summers. In the SW of Germany, these changes are particularly pronounced and gardeners there are trying to adapt their plantings accordingly. This talk will show some of the plantings Anne Repnow has designed in the past years with hot summers in mind. She will take you through the seasons in her gravel garden and highlight plants that thrive under these conditions.
Anne lives near Heidelberg in Germany. After studying Zoology at Oxford, she embarked on a career in scientific publishing. She visited gardens in Germany and Great Britain, and gained experience experimenting with plants in her own gardens. Eventually, she left publishing to become a garden designer.
