In June 1989, Sharon was rehearsing for her first album when she was taken to the Glastonbury festival with The Waterboys.
Over 30 years, Sharon recorded 10 studio albums, 5 live albums, 4 'Best of…' compilations, and 3 live DVDs. She won several awards, including the Meteor Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. Sharon collaborated with Willie Nelson, Bono, Johnny Depp, Shane MacGowan, John Prine, Nigel Kennedy, and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. She had hits like ‘The Galway Girl’ with Steve Earle, ‘It’s Christmas Time Again’ with Wallis Bird, and ‘Go Tell the Devil’ with Imelda May.
In 2023, she released Now and Then to mark 30 years in music.
