On January 30th, 1984, Ireland mourned the death of Luke Kelly, the greatest folk artist of the 20th century. Created by singer Chris Kavanagh, this 90-minute show, with multi-vision background, brings Luke’s music to life and has received rave reviews.
The show’s authenticity is reflected in its loyal following and sell-out performances at venues like The Cork Opera House, Grand Opera House, and Dublin’s Vicar Street, attended by President Michael D. Higgins. In 2011, Chris performed with The Dubliners on their German tour and appeared on their 50th Anniversary DVD. Luke’s family attends his Dublin concerts, and many say his presence is still felt on stage.
