Award-winning Bumblebee Flower Farm in West Cork is Ireland’s first dedicated edible flower farm, where vibrant, fragrant, stunning flowers are grown organically in line with the seasons. They grow as nature intended, using only clean seed to support bumblebees and other pollinators while producing outstanding cut and edible flowers. Open days give an insight into the workings of the flower farm in a peaceful country setting.
The introductory workshops are designed for anyone with a keen interest in the growing, nurturing, use and arrangement of flowers while supporting our precious bees. These courses typically last 2.5 hours. Choose from the Cut Flower workshop, the Edible Flower workshop or the Pollinator Friendly Gardening workshop.
The longer full day workshops have a limited number of places to provide a more hands on experience. Choose to harvest and create your own bouquets on the cut flowers day; have award-winning chef Eddie Attwell share recipes on the edible flower day; or go home with a starter collection of pollinator plants for your own garden on the pollinator gardening day. A beautiful lunch is included on these full day workshops.
Come learn how to grow beautiful flowers as nature intended using sustainable gardening practices. A warm welcome awaits you.
