Carrablagh House - Gardens & Woodland is an outstanding example of a well established country garden, dating back to the mid-19th century. It is set at Portsalon along the eastern cliffs of the Fanad Peninsula where Lough Swilly meets the North Atlantic Ocean in County Donegal.
The Garden is a classic Robinsonian garden open in May and early June that has surrounding woodland that protects the specimen plantings within. It is an intimate space with a series of pockets throughout the woods and a tiny walled garden. The woodlands are awash with rhododendrons around May each year. Carrablagh House - Gardens & Woodland is part of the Donegal Garden Trail.
On your way to visit the gardens you will pass beautiful Ballymastocker Beach with stunning views from the roadside or stop off for a stroll.
