The Olde Castle Bar, Donegal Town, is a traditional Irish bar and has been welcoming guests since the 1700s.
Indeed the location of the Olde Castle Bar, directly opposite Red Hugh O’Donnell’s Castle, the last great bastion of the Irish Chieftains (1575- 1602), would suggest an inn and stables existed there well before that.
Since 2007 the O’Toole family and their team have developed a popular and successful award winning gastro pub with the emphasis on Donegal’s seafood.
The Olde Castle Bar strive to provide the best hospitality and locally sourced fresh seafood, steaks, lamb, pork and poultry, together with a selection of local artisan beers and a carefully chosen wine list, to create an enjoyable food and drink experience.
