Visit three working distilleries on the Northern Ireland Whiskey Tour by Whiskey Island Tours including Old Bushmills, and discover many highlights of Northern Ireland along the way.
Your host, a whiskey expert, will meet you at your Dublin hotel from where you will depart for Northern Ireland in executive transport. After crossing the border, the first stop is only a short distance away. Depending on availability, the tour will visit one of County Down's distilleries, either Hinch or Killowen.
Next stop is Downpatrick and to the Saint Patrick Centre where you will learn about Ireland's patron saint and enjoy some lunch. In the afternoon, the trail continues in County Down and to another distillery, either Copeland, Rademon or Echlinville.
The tour finishes on day one in Belfast for an overnight stay where there will be free time to explore the city at your leisure. The tour guide will give you recommendations for dinner and drinks.
The following morning, chauffeur driven executive transportation will pick you up at your hotel and travel out of the city and along the well known Causeway Coastal Route. The first stop is the picturesque village of Ballymena where you will have the opportunity to appreciate the art of Irish coffee at The Londonderry Arms Hotel, a one time home of former British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill.
The tour then visits a UNESCO world heritage site, The Giant’s Causeway, one of the most famous geological sites in Europe. Enjoy the site at leisure and have some lunch. A couple of minutes down the road, and dating all the way back to 1608 AD, you will take a tour of the Old Bushmills Distillery which is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in the world. Enjoy a tour and tasting here, after which there will be time for shopping, then sit back and relax for the 2.5 hour trip back to Dublin, where the tour will conclude.
