A great night starts at The Front Door.
With its own distinctive character, Sonny Molloy's Bar forms part of The Front Door Pub, and Tigh Nora Gin Bar. It was once a drapery shop run by Galway native, Sonny Molloy. The building itself was part of a medieval property built in the 1600s, some of which formed part of the old Galway city walls. The counter of the bar is still the same as when Sonny himself worked behind it.
Sonny Molloy’s were given the opportunity to create their own whiskey label, when Redbreast Whiskey chose Sonny Molloy’s as the first on-trade establishment to release a Redbreast 16year old all sherry single cask. The result is a limited edition and collectable whiskey, sold by the glass or as a gift set in the bar, complete with a pair of engraved Galway Crystal glasses and a certificate of authenticity signed by Master Distiller Brian Nation.
