Known for her emotionally charged performances, Irish soprano Helen Hancock and pianist Paul Cibis will perform Benjamin Britten’s On this Island alongside a selection of songs by Schubert, Strauss and Fauré with Irish songs by Ina Boyle, Thomas Moore and settings of Máirtín Ó Direáin and Michael Ende by Kerry composer Criostóir Ó Loingsigh.
Hancock and Cibis’ collaboration began with their performance Zweisamkeit (Two Togetherness) in Germany in 2024 as part of Zeitgeist Irland 24.
Supported by the Disciplines of German and Music and The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at University of Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Kylemore Trust and in association with the Clifden Arts Festival.
