Situated in the four star Arbutus Hotel, which is one of the most historic and best loved Kerry hotels. Buckley’s Bar is a beautiful place to sit and discuss the world. Its oak panelled walls and turf fire reflect the timelessness of a good Irish pub, combining character and good craic. Bar food is served throughout the day from May to September.
Tim Buckley, who established the Arbutus Killarney Hotel in 1926 was a great lover of traditional music and was often heard singing in Buckley’s Bar. Buckley’s is still at the heart of Killarney’s traditional music scene. Some of the country’s finest musicians will often drop in for an unplanned and unamplified session, much to the delight of visitors. Regular music sessions take place on Saturday nights at 10pm while on Sundays the session runs from 1pm to 3pm, ideal for families who want to enjoy the traditional Irish music experience earlier in the day. Traditional Irish music can be enjoyed every night from May to September.
The hotel has free WiFi available in all public areas and complimentary car parking is available just 250 metres from the Arbutus Hotel.
