Founded in 2016 by George Jackson, Dingle Darkroom - Photo Tours in Kerry provide guided photography tours, workshops and holidays for individuals and small groups based on the Dingle Peninsula. It operates throughout the year around the entire region of County Kerry.
Dingle Darkroom - Photo Tours in Kerry accommodate photographers at any level of knowledge and experience, using any camera or phone. Photography tours, with ongoing tips on composition, lighting and exposure, are carefully planned to get away from the beaten track as much as possible, while also visiting the famous landscapes, seascapes and historical architecture of the area.
Photography workshops provide tuition for all levels in a relaxed atmosphere, where you can practice as you learn using the diverse subject matter on offer around County Kerry. Photography tours and workshops can be fully customised for individuals and private groups.
Photography holidays and weekend breaks are available throughout the year, exploring the Dingle and Iveragh Peninsulas, as well as Killarney National Park. These relaxing holidays and breaks provide a fantastic opportunity to visit and capture the wealth of sandy and rocky beaches, dramatic coastline, ancient castles, standing stones, ecclesiastical sites, remote glacial valleys, loughs and mountain passes that are situated amid the rural landscape of County Kerry.
During the summer months, a trip to the Great Blasket Island is included, if weather conditions permit. With small group sizes there is plenty of time to give individual and group tutorials. The day generally begins with an optional dawn and sunrise shoot, followed by a tour with ongoing workshops and demonstrations as requested. Towards evening, a superb location along the coastline is selected for a sunset and dusk expedition with, hopefully, a touch of colour in the sky to end the day on a high.
