Celebrating the Gold Tier International Dark Sky Reserve, the only such reserve in the Northern Hemisphere, a series of events in the heart of the reserve along south Kerry's Skellig Coast takes place over the last weekend in March.
Join in with the 4th ever Skellig Coast Dark Sky Festival - taking place along the Skellig Coast on Kerry's Iveragh Peninsula - our events concern all things astronomical with events in Irish and also Ukranian and Arabic. Our cultural diversity in South Kerry is reflected in the theme for this year's festival 'Under One Sky'. Our workshops also consider the impact of light on the natural world while cultural events include music, art and archaeology - all with an astronomical emphasis.
