Mullaghmast is a very large standing stone, and is located about 3km west of Ballitore in County Kildare. The site includes earthworks, ringforts, barrows. The overall site is dominated by Rath Mor, or ancient fort.

Mullaghmast was one of the O'Toole forts and was the scene of many battles. Accounts of happenings here appear in the Annals. There were numerous battles fought here in the 2nd and 3rd centuries and again in the 16th century.
