Kilmogue dolmen, known locally as 'Leac an Scail', is one of the tallest and most spectacular examples of a portal dolmen in Ireland, it is located near Knocktopher in County Kilkenny.

Kilmogue dolmen, known locally as 'Leac an Scail' stone of the warrior or hero. It is one of the tallest and most spectacular examples of a portal dolmen in Ireland. Not only is the sheer size of this tomb impressive but also the engineerin, the portal tomb has been constructed using a large capstone resting on two large portal stones and a pillow stone resting on a backstone. The portal stones are around 3.7m high and the capstone reaches up well over 4m.
