The Kilvahan Horse Drawn Caravan Experience based at Tullibards Stud, Coolrain, County Laois provides the opportunity for guests to take a break from the real world and find themselves again in the beauty of the Irish midlands. Guests will enjoy the freedom that comes from knowing that the day is theirs to spend as they choose and be as active or as chilled out as they like. Along the way they might like to go fishing, play a round of golf, visit ancient ruins or have a relaxing picnic in the sun.
Guests will spend their first and last nights at the Kilvahan Horse Drawn Caravan base, a scenic location in the Slieve Bloom Mountains with stunning views over Leinster. There are full facilities, toilets and showers, landscaped caravan parking areas, picnic gardens, barbecue and a children’s playground. On the road, guests can decide whether to travel between rural farmhouses or stop off at a country pub, famed for lively sessions of traditional music.
Kilvahan Horse Drawn Caravan operates with 16 caravans, all of which are authentic and fitted out to a luxury standard. The horses all have a minimum of three to four years experience in the city with traffic, making them ideal for pulling caravans. No previous horse experience is required by guests as full instructions will be given before departure.
Back at the farm, guests can combine their caravanning holiday with riding lessons in the indoor and outdoor arenas, or a cross country trail ride through the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains.
