The Kingfisher Cycle Trail follows minor country roads through the border counties of Fermanagh, Leitrim, Cavan, Donegal, and Monaghan. The trail travels through a landscape dotted with rivers, lakes, and sightseeing attractions.
A mapped and signposted cycle route, Kingfisher covers over 480km (300mi). The unique mixture of lakelands, canal-side tracks, rolling hills, leafy laneways, and mountain climbs make the Kingfisher Trail the ideal choice for all levels of cyclist.
The overall figure of eight encompasses a number of shorter trails which are designed for anything from one-day to eight-day tours.
Independent travel offers the best opportunity for those who enjoy complete freedom. The route is clearly way-marked, there are maps of the area readily available, and numerous accommodation options are open to you along the way.
