The multi award winning Locke Bar sits in the heart of Limerick City’s Medieval Quarter, where the Abbey River meets the Shannon. Its riverside setting features outdoor seating and entertainment area.
The Locke Bar has also launched ‘The Big Limerick Seisiún’. It has two traditional Irish music and dance sessions at 17:00 and 21:00, seven days a week. On Friday and Saturday nights the second music session from 21:00 goes on for an exceptional 3 hours with extra musicians involved.
The Locke Bar is to be found on the original site of one of Limerick City’s oldest pubs dating back to 1724. Nearby are some of the city’s most historical landmarks such as St. Mary’s Cathedral, King John’s Castle and The Hunt Museum. This old world pub lies on the tree lined George’s Quay and is a great location for outdoor relaxation, fun and entertainment for a spring or summer day. Inside you will find old wood panelling and open fires where you can snuggle down.
