As we celebrate Heritage Week, journey back in time and marvel at the innovation and endurance of our rural ancestors through the Irish Folklife Collection with an experienced Museum guide.

To compliment their Traditional Basketmaking Demonstration at the Museum, they are offering a free guided tour of the Museum Galleries with a focus on the art and craft of basketmaking and how average Irish plants were used to create these objects. Hear how bramble and heather plants were incorporated into basketmaking and the significance of using local materials.
