This workshop is designed for those who would like to learn more about the art of spoon carving. The workshop will take you through each process of spoon carving, including discussion around types of wood best for carving, axing out, straight knife work, hook knife work, finishing cuts, burnishing, oils and finishes and aftercare. The workshop starts off with each participant cleaving a log, axing out spoon blanks and carving and ends with your own carved spoon!

All tools and materials are included. A simple homemade lunch, hot drinks and biscuits will be provided during the workshop. Feel free to bring your favourite snacks for the shared table.
