The EuroVelo 1 - Atlantic Coast Cycle Route offers an immersive cycling experience along Ireland’s southern and western coastlines. This route guides cyclists through picturesque rural roads and greenways, showcasing the untamed beauty of Ireland’s shores.

Starting at Rosslare Harbour in County Wexford, the south eastern gateway to Ireland, the route connects with ferry arrivals from the UK, France and Spain.

Spanning approximately 2,350km across the Republic of Ireland, it culminates in the rugged landscapes of County Donegal in the northwest. Here, the journey extends into Northern Ireland, adding another 250km to reach the vibrant city of Belfast. In Belfast, cyclists have the opportunity to board a ferry to Scotland, where the adventure on EuroVelo 1 can continue.
