The Thomas Moore Tavern, one of Wexford’s oldest bars is named after the renowned Irish Poet whose parents once lived here. There was a hostelry on the site as far back as the twelfth century, and parts of the current building date back to the 1700’s.
Beautifully restored, the Thomas Moore Tavern uses the very best of local and seasonal ingredients and serves lunch and evening meals in stylish surroundings. Join them for a bite to eat at lunchtime, where they serve blackboard lunches daily in the ground floor bar or for a burger in the evenings while watching the big match. Enjoy casual meals in The Bistro, regular entertainment in The Bar, or book your own private function in their Piano Bar, they have everything you need for a great night out.
There is live entertainment on various nights including traditional, jazz, and live music with different artists.
