Join Laura Nelson for an introduction to the basics of signpainting with a focus on the traditional casual lettering style.
The workshop will begin with a history of the craft and how the Casual lettering style fits within it. We will also take a look at examples of some of the most beautiful shop signs in Ireland. Then looking at materials, tips and tricks before starting to practice our own casual lettering alphabets.
We will be working with sign painting essential tools such as papers, pencils, brushes and paint. The workshop might be a little messy so wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit painty!
