One of three pleasant Tinahely walks, Mangan’s Loop takes 90 minutes to complete and follows forest and mountain trails as well as quiet country lanes. Moderate in grade and ascending 200m overall, this walk is the ideal way to immerse yourself in County Wicklow’s astounding natural beauty.
Starting in Tinahely village, the 3.8 km trail climbs over Garryhoe Hill, a relatively steep ascent, before crossing open ground and descending Mangan’s Lane. Along the way walkers will enjoy rural farmland scenery, exceptional Wicklow Mountain landscapes and views over the lively market town too.
Once you’ve absorbed all of that lush Garden of Ireland landscape, you’ll find plenty of places to rest and refresh back in welcoming Tinahely itself.
